1	이제 야곱과 함께 각각 자기 집안사람들을 데리고 이집트로 들어간 이스라엘의 자손들의 이름은 이러하니라.	0
	Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt; each man and his household came with Jacob:
	야곱과 함께 각기 권속을 데리고 애굽에 이른 이스라엘 아들들의 이름은 이러하니
2	르우벤과 시므온과 레위와 유다와	0
	Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah;
	르우벤과 시므온과 레위와 유다와
3	잇사갈과 스불론과 베냐민과	0
	Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin;
	잇사갈과 스불론과 베냐민과
4	단과 납달리와 갓과 아셀이라.	0
	Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
	단과 납달리와 갓과 아셀이요
5	이미 요셉이 이집트에 있었으므로 야곱의 허리에서 나온 모든 혼이 일흔 혼이더라.	0
	All those who were descendants of Jacob were seventy persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already).
	이미 애굽에 있는 요셉까지 야곱의 혈속이 모두 칠십 인이었더라
6	요셉과 그의 모든 형제와 그 온 세대가 죽었더라.	0
	And Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation.
	요셉과 그의 모든 형제와 그 시대 사람은 다 죽었고
7	¶ 이스라엘의 자손이 다산하고 풍성하게 불어나 번성하며 심히 강하게 되어 그 땅이 그들로 가득하게 되었더라.	1
	But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.
	이스라엘 자손은 생육이 중다하고 번식하고 창성하고 심히 강대하여 온 땅에 가득하게 되었더라
8	이제 요셉을 알지 못하는 새 왕이 일어나 이집트를 다스리더라.	0
	Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.
	요셉을 알지 못하는 새 왕이 일어나서 애굽을 다스리더니
9	그가 자기 백성에게 이르되, 보라, 이스라엘 자손의 백성이 우리보다 더 많고 강하도다.	0
	And he said to his people, "Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we;
	그가 그 신민에게 이르되 이 백성 이스라엘 자손이 우리보다 많고 강하도다
10	자, 우리가 그들을 지혜롭게 다루자. 그들이 번성하고 또 전쟁이 일어날 때에 그들이 우리 원수들과 연합하여 우리와 싸우며 이 땅에서 일어나 나갈까 염려하노라, 하였더라.	0
	"come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land."
	자 우리가 그들에게 대하여 지혜롭게 하자 두렵건대 그들이 더 많게 되면 전쟁이 일어날 때에 우리 대적과 합하여 우리와 싸우고 이 땅에서 갈까 하노라 하고
11	그러므로 그들이 작업 감독들을 그들 위에 세우고 그들에게 무거운 짐을 주어 그들을 괴롭게 하였더라. 그들이 파라오를 위하여 국고 도시 곧 비돔과 라암셋을 건축하였더라.	0
	Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses.
	감독들을 그들 위에 세우고 그들에게 무거운 짐을 지워 괴롭게 하여 그들로 바로를 위하여 국고성 비돔과 라암셋을 건축하게 하니라
12	그러나 그들이 그들을 괴롭게 할수록 그들이 더욱 번성하고 증가하므로 그들이 이스라엘 자손으로 인하여 근심하였더라.	0
	But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.
	그러나 학대를 받을수록 더욱 번식하고 창성하니 애굽 사람이 이스라엘 자손을 인하여 근심하여
13	이에 이집트 사람들이 이스라엘 자손으로 하여금 엄격히 섬기게 하고	0
	So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor.
	이스라엘 자손의 역사를 엄하게 하여
14	회반죽 이기는 일과 벽돌 굽는 일과 들에서의 온갖 종류의 섬기는 일에서 고된 속박으로 그들의 삶을 괴롭게 하니라. 그들이 그들로 하여금 섬기게 한 모든 일이 엄격하였더라.	1
	And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage--in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.
	고역으로 그들의 생활을 괴롭게 하니 곧 흙 이기기와 벽돌 굽기와 농사의 여러가지 일이라 그 시키는 역사가 다 엄하였더라
15	¶ 이집트 왕이 히브리 산파들에게 말하였는데 그들 중 하나의 이름은 십브라요, 다른 하나의 이름은 부아더라.	0
	Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah;
	애굽 왕이 히브리 산파 십브라라 하는 자와 부아라 하는 자에게 일러
16	그가 이르되, 너희가 히브리 여인들을 위하여 산파의 직무를 행할 때에 해산대 위의 여인들을 살펴보아 그것이 아들이거든 너희는 그를 죽이고 딸이거든 살릴지니라, 하였으나	0
	and he said, "When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live."
	가로되 너희는 히브리 여인을 위하여 조산할 때에 살펴서 남자여든 죽이고 여자여든 그는 살게 두라
17	산파들이 [하나님]을 두려워하여 이집트 왕이 자기들에게 명령한 대로 하지 아니하고 사내아이들을 살려 두니라.	0
	But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.
	그러나 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하여 애굽 왕의 명을 어기고 남자를 살린지라
18	이집트 왕이 산파들을 불러 그들에게 이르되, 너희가 어찌하여 이 일을 행하고 사내아이들을 살려 두었느냐? 하니	0
	So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, "Why have you done this thing, and saved the male children alive?"
	애굽 왕이 산파를 불러서 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌 이같이 하여 남자를 살렸느냐
19	산파들이 파라오에게 이르되, 히브리 여인들은 이집트 여인들 같지 아니하고 생기가 넘쳐서 산파들이 자기들에게 오기 전에 해산하나이다, 하매	0
	And the midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them."
	산파가 바로에게 대답하되 히브리 여인은 애굽 여인과 같지 아니하고 건장하여 산파가 그들에게 이르기 전에 해산하였더이다 하매
20	이러므로 [하나님]께서 그 산파들을 선하게 대우하시니 백성이 번성하고 심히 강하게 되었더라.	0
	Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty.
	하나님이 그 산파들에게 은혜를 베푸시니라 백성은 생육이 번성하고 심히 강대하며
21	산파들이 [하나님]을 두려워하였으므로 그분께서 그들의 집을 세워 주셨더라.	1
	And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
	산파는 하나님을 경외하였으므로 하나님이 그들의 집을 왕성케 하신지라
22	파라오가 자기의 온 백성에게 명하여 이르되, 너희는 아들이 태어나거든 다 강에 던지고 딸은 다 살려 두라, 하였더라.	0
	So Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, "Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive."
	그러므로 바로가 그 모든 신민에게 명하여 가로되 남자가 나거든 너희는 그를 하수에 던지고 여자여든 살리라 하였더라
