므낫세가 요셉의 맏아들이었으므로 그의 지파를 위해서도 제비를 뽑았으니 즉 므낫세의 맏아들 마길 곧 길르앗의 아버지를 위해 제비를 뽑았더라. 그는 전사이므로 그런 까닭에 길르앗과 바산을 얻었더라.

There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh, for he was the firstborn of Joseph: namely for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, because he was a man of war; therefore he was given Gilead and Bashan.

므낫세 지파를 위하여 제비 뽑은 것은 이러하니라 므낫세는 요셉의 장자이었고 므낫세의 장자 마길은 길르앗의 아비라 그는 무사이어서 길르앗과 바산을 얻었으므로

므낫세의 자손 중에서 남은 자들을 위해서도 그들의 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니 곧 아비에셀의 자손과 헬렉의 자손과 아스리엘의 자손과 세겜의 자손과 헤벨의 자손과 스미다의 자손을 위해 제비를 뽑았더라. 이들은 그들의 가족대로 요셉의 아들인 므낫세의 남자 자손이더라.

And there was a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh according to their families: for the children of Abiezer, the children of Helek, the children of Asriel, the children of Shechem, the children of Hepher, and the children of Shemida; these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph according to their families.

므낫세의 남은 자손을 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았는데 그들은 곧 아비에셀의 자손과 헬렉의 자손과 아스리엘의 자손과 세겜의 자손과 헤벨의 자손과 스미다의 자손이니 그들의 가족대로 요셉의 아들 므낫세의 남 자손이며

¶ 그러나 헤벨의 아들이요, 길르앗의 손자요, 마길의 증손이요, 므낫세의 사대 손인 슬로브핫은 아들이 없고 딸뿐이요, 그의 딸들의 이름은 이러하니 곧 말라와 노아와 호글라와 밀가와 디르사라.

But Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but only daughters. And these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

헤벨의 아들 길르앗의 손자 마길의 증손 므낫세의 현손 슬로브핫은 아들이 없고 딸뿐이요 그 딸들의 이름은 말라와 노아와 호글라와 밀가와 디르사라

그들이 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 통치자들 앞에 나아와 말하기를, {주}께서 모세에게 명령하사 우리 형제들 가운데서 우리에게 상속 재산을 주라고 하셨나이다, 하니라. 그런즉 그가 {주}의 명령에 따라 그들의 아버지의 형제들 가운데서 그들에게 상속 재산을 주었으므로

And they came near before Eleazar the priest, before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the rulers, saying, "The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brothers." Therefore, according to the commandment of the LORD, he gave them an inheritance among their father's brothers.

그들이 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 방백들 앞에 나아와서 말하기를 여호와께서 모세에게 명하사 우리 형제 중에서 우리에게 기업을 주라 하셨다 하매 여호와의 명령을 따라 그들에게 기업을 그 아비 형제 중에서 주므로

요르단 저편에 있던 길르앗과 바산 땅 외에 므낫세에게 열 몫이 돌아갔으니

Ten shares fell to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Bashan, which were on the other side of the Jordan,

|
|
|
요단 동편 길르앗과 바산 외에 므낫세에게 열 분깃이 돌아갔으니

|

이는 므낫세의 딸들이 그의 아들들 가운데서 상속 재산을 얻었기 때문이더라. 므낫세의 아들들 중에서 남은 자들이 길르앗 땅을 차지하니라.

because the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance among his sons; and the rest of Manasseh's sons had the land of Gilead.
|
|
|
|
므낫세의 여손들이 그 남 자손 중에서 기업을 얻은 까닭이었으며 길르앗 땅은 므낫세의 남은 자손에게 속하였더라

¶ 므낫세의 지경은 아셀에서부터 세겜 앞에 놓인 믹므다까지였으며 또 그 경계가 오른쪽으로 가서 엔답부아의 거주민들에게 이르렀더라.

And the territory of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethath, that lies east of Shechem; and the border went along south to the inhabitants of En Tappuah.
|
|
|
|
므낫세의 경계는 아셀에서부터 세겜 앞 믹므닷에 미치고 우편으로 가서 엔답부아 거민의 땅에 이르나니

이제 므낫세가 답부아 땅을 차지하였으나 므낫세 경계에 있는 답부아는 에브라임 자손에게 속하였더라.

Manasseh had the land of Tappuah, but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim.
|
|
|
|
답부아 땅은 므낫세에게 속하였으되 므낫세 경계에 있는 답부아 읍은 에브라임 자손에게 속하였으며
|
|
|

|
또 그 지경이 가나 강으로 내려가서 그 강의 남쪽에 이르렀더라. 에브라임의 이 도시들은 므낫세의 도시들 가운데 있느니라. 므낫세의 지경도 그 강의 북쪽 편에 있었으며 그 지경이 나가서 바다에 이르렀더라.

And the border descended to the Brook Kanah, southward to the brook. These cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh. The border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook; and it ended at the sea.

|
또 경계가 가나 시내로 내려가서 그 시내 남편에 이르나니 므낫세의 성읍 중에 이 성읍들은 에브라임에게 속하였으며 므낫세의 경계는 그 시내 북편이요 그 끝은 바다며

그것은 남쪽으로는 에브라임에 속하였고 북쪽으로는 므낫세에 속하였으며 바다가 그의 경계가 되었더라. 그것들은 북쪽에서 아셀에서 함께 만나고 동쪽에서는 잇사갈에서 함께 만났더라.

Southward it was Ephraim's, northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea was its border. Manasseh's territory was adjoining Asher on the north and Issachar on the east.

|
|
그 남편은 에브라임에 속하였고 북편은 므낫세에 속하였고 바다가 그 경계가 되었으며 그들의 땅의 북은 아셀에 미쳤고 동은 잇사갈에 미쳤으며

또 므낫세에게는 잇사갈과 아셀에도 소유가 있었으니 곧 벧스안과 그것의 고을들과 이블르암과 그것의 고을들과 도르의 거주민들과 그것의 고을들과 또 엔돌의 거주민들과 그것의 고을들과 다아낙의 거주민들과 그것의 고을들과 므깃도의 거주민들과 그것의 고을들 곧 세 지역이라.

And in Issachar and in Asher, Manasseh had Beth Shean and its towns, Ibleam and its towns, the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, the inhabitants of En Dor and its towns, the inhabitants of Taanach and its towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns--three hilly regions.

|
잇사갈과 아셀에도 므낫세의 소유가 있으니 곧 벧스안과 그 향리와 이블르암과 그 향리와 돌의 거민과 그 향리요 또 엔돌 거민과 그 향리와 다아낙 거민과 그 향리와 므깃도 거민과 그 향리들 세 높은 곳이라

그러나 므낫세 자손이 그 도시들의 거주민들을 쫓아내지 못하매 가나안 족속이 그 땅에 거하려 하였더라.

Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities, but the Canaanites were determined to dwell in that land.
|
|
|
|
그러나 므낫세 자손이 그 성읍들의 거민을 쫓아내지 못하매 가나안 사람이 결심하고 그 땅에 거하였더니
|
|
|

|
이스라엘 자손이 강성한 뒤에야 가나안 족속에게 조공을 바치게 하였으나 그들을 철저히 쫓아내지는 아니하였더라.

|
And it happened, when the children of Israel grew strong, that they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but did not utterly drive them out.
|
|
|
|
이스라엘 자손이 강성한 후에야 가나안 사람에게 사역을 시켰고 다 쫓아내지 아니하였더라

요셉 자손이 여호수아에게 말하여 이르되, {주}께서 지금까지 내게 복을 주셨으므로 내가 큰 백성이 되었거늘 어찌하여 당신이 내게 한 제비, 한 몫만 상속 재산으로 주셨나이까? 하매

Then the children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, "Why have you given us only one lot and one share to inherit, since we are a great people, inasmuch as the LORD has blessed us until now?"
|
|
|
|
요셉 자손이 여호수아에게 말하여 가로되 여호와께서 지금까지 내게 복을 주시므로 내가 큰 민족이 되었거늘 당신이 나의 기업을 위하여 한 제비, 한 분깃으로만 내게 주심은 어찜이니이까

|
여호수아가 그들에게 대답하되, 네가 큰 백성이므로 에브라임 산이 네게 너무 좁을진대 나무가 많은 지역으로 올라가 브리스 족속과 거인들의 땅에서 너를 위하여 거기서 나무를 베어 내라, 하니

So Joshua answered them, "If you are a great people, then go up to the forest country and clear a place for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and the giants, since the mountains of Ephraim are too confined for you."

|
|
여호수아가 그들에게 이르되 네가 큰 민족이 되므로 에브라임 산지가 네게 너무 좁을진대 브리스 사람과 르바임 사람의 땅 삼림에 올라가서 스스로 개척하라

|
요셉 자손이 이르되, 그 산은 우리에게 넉넉하지도 아니하고 골짜기 땅에 거하는 모든 가나안 족속에게는 벧스안과 그것의 고을들에 거하는 자든지 예스르엘 골짜기에 거하는 자든지 다 철 병거가 있나이다, 하매

But the children of Joseph said, "The mountain country is not enough for us; and all the Canaanites who dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both those who are of Beth Shean and its towns and those who are of the Valley of Jezreel."

|
|
요셉 자손이 가로되 그 산지는 우리에게 넉넉지도 못하고 골짜기 땅에 거하는 가나안 사람에게는 벧스안과 그 향리에 거하는 자든지 이스르엘 골짜기에 거하는 자든지 다 철병거가 있나이다

여호수아가 요셉의 집 곧 에브라임과 므낫세에게 말하여 이르되, 너는 큰 백성이요 큰 권능이 있은즉 한 제비의 몫만 갖지 말라.

And Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph--to Ephraim and Manasseh--saying, "You are a great people and have great power; you shall not have only one lot,
|

|
|
여호수아가 다시 요셉의 족속 곧 에브라임과 므낫세에게 일러 가로되 너는 큰 민족이요 큰 권능이 있은즉 한 분깃만 가질 것이 아니라
|
|
|

|
그 산도 네 것이 되리라. 그것이 삼림인즉 네가 베어 내야 하리라. 그러면 그 산에서 나간 곳이 네 것이 되리니 비록 가나안 족속이 철 병거를 가졌고 강할지라도 네가 그들을 쫓아낼지니라, 하니라.

"but the mountain country shall be yours. Although it is wooded, you shall cut it down, and its farthest extent shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots and are strong."

|
|
그 산지도 네 것이 되리니 비록 삼림이라도 네가 개척하라 그 끝까지 네 것이 되리라 가나안 사람이 비록 철병거를 가졌고 강할지라도 네가 능히 그를 쫓아내리라
