이제 일곱째 달에 왕가의 씨에 속한 엘리사마의 손자요, 느다냐의 아들인 이스마엘이 왕의 통치자들 곧 열 사람과 함께 미스바로 가서 아히감의 아들 그달리야에게 이르니라. 그들이 거기서 미스바에서 함께 빵을 먹더라.

Now it came to pass in the seventh month that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal family and of the officers of the king, came with ten men to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, at Mizpah. And there they ate bread together in Mizpah.

|
칠월에 왕의 종친 엘리사마의 손자 느다냐의 아들 왕의 장관 이스마엘이 열 사람과 함께 미스바로 가서 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 이르러 미스바에서 함께 떡을 먹다가

그때에 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그와 함께한 열 사람이 일어나 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야 곧 바빌론 왕이 그 땅을 다스리기 위해 총독으로 삼은 자를 칼로 쳐서 죽이고

Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, arose and struck Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, and killed him whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.

|
|
느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그와 함께 한 열 사람이 일어나서 바벨론 왕의 그 땅 총독으로 세운 바 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 칼로 쳐죽였고
|
|
|

이스마엘이 또 미스바에서 그와 함께한 곧 그달리야와 함께한 모든 유대인들과 거기서 발견된 갈대아 사람들과 군사들을 죽였더라.

|
Ishmael also struck down all the Jews who were with him, that is, with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.
|
|
|
|
이스마엘이 또 미스바에서 그다랴와 함께한 모든 유다인과 거기 있는 갈대아 군사를 죽였더라
|

그가 그달리야를 죽인 지 이틀이 되었으나 아무도 그것을 알지 못하더라.
|

And it happened, on the second day after he had killed Gedaliah, when as yet no one knew it,
|

|
|
그가 그다랴를 죽인 지 이틀이 되었어도 이를 아는 사람이 없었더라

그때에 팔십 명이나 되는 어떤 사람들이 자기들의 수염을 밀고 옷을 찢고 스스로 몸에 상처를 내고는 손에 헌물과 향을 가지고 세겜과 실로와 사마리아로부터 나아와 그것들을 {주}의 집으로 가져가려 하니라.

that certain men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, eighty men with their beards shaved and their clothes torn, having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to the house of the LORD.

|
|
때에 사람 팔십 명이 그 수염을 깎고 옷을 찢고 몸을 상하고 손에 소제물과 유향을 가지고 세겜과 실로와 사마리아에서부터 와서 여호와의 집으로 나아가려 한지라
|

느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 맞이하러 미스바에서 나아가면서 갈 때에 줄곧 울고 그들을 만나 그들에게 이르기를, 아히감의 아들 그달리야에게로 오라, 하니라.

Now Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went along; and it happened as he met them that he said to them, "Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam!"

|
느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 영접하러 미스바에서 나와서 울며 행하다가 그들을 만나 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게로 가자 하여

그리하여 그들이 도시의 한가운데 이르매 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그와 함께한 자들이 그들을 죽여 구덩이 한가운데로 던지니라.

So it was, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah killed them and cast them into the midst of a pit, he and the men who were with him.
|
|
|
|
그들이 성 중앙에 이를 때에 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 자기와 함께 한 사람들로 더불어 그들을 죽여 구덩이에 던지니라
|
|
|

그러나 그들 가운데 있던 열 사람이 이스마엘에게 이르되, 우리를 죽이지 말라. 우리에게 밀과 보리와 기름과 꿀을 모아 둔 것이 들에 있노라, 하매 이에 그가 멈추고 그들의 형제들 가운데서 그들을 죽이지 아니하였더라.

But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, "Do not kill us, for we have treasures of wheat, barley, oil, and honey in the field." So he desisted and did not kill them among their brethren.

|
|
그 중에 열 사람은 이스마엘에게 이르기를 우리가 밀과 보리와 기름과 꿀을 밭에 감추었으니 우리를 죽이지 말라 하였으므로 그가 그치고 그들을 그 형제와 함께 죽이지 아니하였더라

그런데 이스마엘이 그달리야로 인하여 죽인 사람들의 모든 시체를 던져 넣은 구덩이는 아사 왕이 이스라엘 왕 바아사를 두려워하여 판 것이더라. 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 죽임 당한 사람들로 그것을 채우고

Now the pit into which Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had slain, because of Gedaliah, was the same one Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel. Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.
|
|
|
|
이스마엘이 그다랴에게 속한 사람들을 죽이고 그 시체를 던진 구덩이는 아사 왕이 이스라엘 왕 바아사를 두려워하여 팠던 것이라 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그 죽인 시체로 거기 채우고

그때에 미스바에 있던 백성의 모든 남은 자들 곧 왕의 딸들과 미스바에 남아 있던 온 백성 즉 호위대장 느부사라단이 아히감의 아들 그달리야에게 맡긴 자들을 포로로 끌어가니라. 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 포로로 끌고 가며 암몬 족속에게로 가려고 떠나니라.

Then Ishmael carried away captive all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people who remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive and departed to go over to the Ammonites.

|
미스바에 남아 있는 왕의 딸들과 모든 백성 곧 시위대장 느부사라단이 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 위임하였던 바 미스바에 남아 있는 모든 백성을 사로잡되 곧 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 사로잡고 암몬 자손에게로 가려 하여 떠나니라

¶ 그러나 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있던 군대의 모든 대장이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 행한 모든 악에 대하여 듣고는

But when Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,
|
|
|
|
가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있는 모든 군대장관이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘의 행한 모든 악을 듣고
|
|
|

그때에 모든 사람을 거느리고 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 싸우러 가다가 기브온에 있는 큰물 곁에서 그를 만나니
|

|
they took all the men and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah; and they found him by the great pool that is in Gibeon.
|
|
|
|
모든 사람을 데리고 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 싸우러 가다가 기브온 큰 물가에서 그를 만나매
|
|
|

|
이제 이스마엘과 함께 있던 온 백성이 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께한 군대의 모든 대장을 보고 반가워하니라.

|
So it was, when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, that they were glad.
|
|
|
|
이스마엘과 함께 있던 모든 백성이 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 한 모든 군대장관을 보고 기뻐한지라
|
|
|

|
이처럼 이스마엘이 미스바로부터 포로로 끌어간 온 백성이 돌이키고 돌아와 가레아의 아들 요하난에게로 가니라.

Then all the people whom Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah turned around and came back, and went to Johanan the son of Kareah.
|
|
|
|
이에 미스바에서 이스마엘에게 포로되었던 그 모든 백성이 돌이켜 가레아의 아들 요하난에게로 돌아가니
|
|
|

|
그러나 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘은 여덟 사람과 함께 요하난으로부터 도망하여 암몬 족속에게로 가니라.
|

|
But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men and went to the Ammonites.
|
|
|
|
느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 여덟 사람과 함께 요하난을 피하여 암몬 자손에게로 가니라
|
|

|
그때에 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께한 군대의 모든 대장이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 아히감의 아들 그달리야를 죽이고 미스바로부터 끌고 간 백성의 모든 남은 자들 곧 전쟁의 용사들과 여자들과 아이들과 내시들을 이스마엘로부터 되찾고 기브온에서 다시 그들을 데려오니라.

Then Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, took from Mizpah all the rest of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah after he had murdered Gedaliah the son of Ahikam--the mighty men of war and the women and the children and the eunuchs, whom he had brought back from Gibeon.

|
가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께하는 모든 군대장관이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 죽이고 미스바에서 잡아간 모든 남은 백성 곧 군사와 여인과 유아와 환관을 기브온에서 빼앗아 가지고 돌아와서

그들이 이집트로 들어가려고 떠나 베들레헴 곁에 있는 김함의 처소에 거하였으니

And they departed and dwelt in the habitation of Chimham, which is near Bethlehem, as they went on their way to Egypt,
|
|
|
|
애굽으로 가려 하여 떠나 베들레헴 근처에 있는 게롯김함에 머무렀으니
|
|
|

이는 갈대아 사람들 때문이더라. 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 바빌론 왕이 그 땅의 총독으로 삼은 아히감의 아들 그달리야를 죽였으므로 그들이 저들을 두려워하였더라.

because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had murdered Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had made governor in the land.

|
|
이는 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 바벨론 왕의 그 땅 총독으로 세운 아히감의 아들 그다랴을 죽였으므로 그들이 갈대아인을 두려워함이었더라
