1 온 땅의 언어가 하나요 말이 하나였더라. 0
Now the whole earth had one language and one speech.
온 땅의 구음이 하나이요 언어가 하나이었더라
2 그들이 동쪽에서부터 이동하다가 시날 땅에 있는 평야를 만나 거기 거하니라. 0
And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.
이에 그들이 동방으로 옮기다가 시날 평지를 만나 거기 거하고
3 그들이 서로 이르되, 자, 우리가 벽돌을 만들어 견고히 굽자, 하고는 돌 대신 벽돌을 취하고 회반죽 대신 진흙을 취하며 0
Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar.
서로 말하되 자, 벽돌을 만들어 견고히 굽자 하고 이에 벽돌로 돌을 대신하며 역청으로 진흙을 대신하고
4 또 이르되, 자, 우리가 우리를 위하여 도시와 탑을 세우고 탑의 꼭대기를 하늘에까지 닿게 하며 우리가 우리를 위하여 이름을 내고 이로써 온 지면에 널리 흩어짐을 면하자, 하더라. 0
And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."
또 말하되 자, 성과 대를 쌓아 대 꼭대기를 하늘에 닿게 하여 우리 이름을 내고 온 지면에 흩어짐을 면하자 하였더니
5 {주}께서 사람들의 자녀들이 세우는 도시와 탑을 보려고 내려오시니라. 0
But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.
여호와께서 인생들의 쌓는 성과 대를 보시려고 강림하셨더라
6 {주}께서 이르시되, 보라, 백성이 하나요, 또 그들이 다 한 언어를 가지고 있으므로 이 일을 하기 시작하니 이제 그들이 하려고 상상한 어떤 일도 막지 못하리라. 0
And the LORD said, "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
여호와께서 가라사대 이 무리가 한 족속이요 언어도 하나이므로 이같이 시작하였으니 이후로는 그 경영하는 일을 금지할 수 없으리로다
7 자, 우리가 내려가서 거기서 그들의 언어를 혼잡하게 하여 그들이 서로의 말을 알아듣지 못하게 하자, 하시고 0
"Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."
자, 우리가 내려가서 거기서 그들의 언어를 혼잡케 하여 그들로 서로 알아듣지 못하게 하자 하시고
8 이처럼 {주}께서 거기서부터 그들을 온 지면에 널리 흩으셨으므로 그들이 그 도시 세우기를 그쳤더라. 0
So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
여호와께서 거기서 그들을 온 지면에 흩으신 고로 그들이 성 쌓기를 그쳤더라
9 그러므로 그 도시의 이름을 바벨이라 하였으니 이는 {주}께서 거기서 온 땅의 언어를 혼잡하게 하셨기 때문이라. {주}께서 거기서부터 그들을 온 지면에 널리 흩으셨더라. 0
Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
그러므로 그 이름을 바벨이라 하니 이는 여호와께서 거기서 온 땅의 언어를 혼잡케 하셨음이라 여호와께서 거기서 그들을 온 지면에 흩으셨더라
10 ¶ 셈의 세대들은 이러하니라. 셈은 백 세에 곧 홍수 뒤 이 년이 지났을 때에 아르박삿을 낳았고 0
This is the genealogy of Shem: Shem was one hundred years old, and begot Arphaxad two years after the flood.
셈의 후예는 이러하니라 셈은 일백 세 곧 홍수 후 이 년에 아르박삿을 낳았고
11 아르박삿을 낳은 뒤 오백 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Arphaxad, Shem lived five hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
아르박삿을 낳은 후에 오백 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
12 아르박삿은 삼십오 년을 살며 살라를 낳았고 0
Arphaxad lived thirty-five years, and begot Salah.
아르박삿은 삼십오 세에 셀라를 낳았고
13 살라를 낳은 뒤 사백삼 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Salah, Arphaxad lived four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters.
셀라를 낳은 후에 사백삼 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
14 살라는 삼십 년을 살며 에벨을 낳았고 0
Salah lived thirty years, and begot Eber.
셀라는 삼십 세에 에벨을 낳았고
15 에벨을 낳은 뒤 사백삼 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Eber, Salah lived four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters.
에벨을 낳은 후에 사백삼 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
16 에벨은 삼십사 년을 살며 벨렉을 낳았고 0
Eber lived thirty-four years, and begot Peleg.
에벨은 삼십사 세에 벨렉을 낳았고
17 벨렉을 낳은 뒤 사백삼십 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Peleg, Eber lived four hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
벨렉을 낳은 후에 사백삼십 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
18 벨렉은 삼십 년을 살며 르우를 낳았고 0
Peleg lived thirty years, and begot Reu.
벨렉은 삼십 세에 르우를 낳았고
19 르우를 낳은 뒤 이백구 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Reu, Peleg lived two hundred and nine years, and begot sons and daughters.
르우를 낳은 후에 이백구 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
20 르우는 삼십이 년을 살며 스룩을 낳았고 0
Reu lived thirty-two years, and begot Serug.
르우는 삼십이 세에 스룩을 낳았고
21 스룩을 낳은 뒤 이백칠 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Serug, Reu lived two hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
스룩을 낳은 후에 이백칠 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
22 스룩은 삼십 년을 살며 나홀을 낳았고 0
Serug lived thirty years, and begot Nahor.
스룩은 삼십 세에 나홀을 낳았고
23 나홀을 낳은 뒤 이백 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Nahor, Serug lived two hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
나홀을 낳은 후에 이백 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
24 나홀은 이십구 년을 살며 데라를 낳았고 0
Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and begot Terah.
나홀은 이십구 세에 데라를 낳았고
25 데라를 낳은 뒤 백십구 년을 살며 아들딸들을 낳았으며 0
After he begot Terah, Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
데라를 낳은 후에 일백십구 년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
26 데라는 칠십 년을 살며 아브람과 나홀과 하란을 낳았더라. 0
Now Terah lived seventy years, and begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
데라는 칠십 세에 아브람과 나홀과 하란을 낳았더라
27 ¶ 이제 데라의 세대들은 이러하니라. 데라는 아브람과 나홀과 하란을 낳았고 하란은 롯을 낳았는데 0
This is the genealogy of Terah: Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran begot Lot.
데라의 후예는 이러하니라 데라는 아브람과 나홀과 하란을 낳았고 하란은 롯을 낳았으며
28 하란은 자기가 태어난 땅인 갈대아 사람들의 우르에서 자기 아버지 데라보다 먼저 죽었더라. 0
And Haran died before his father Terah in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans.
하란은 그 아비 데라보다 먼저 본토 갈대아 우르에서 죽었더라
29 아브람과 나홀이 아내를 취하였는데 아브람의 아내의 이름은 사래이며 나홀의 아내의 이름은 밀가더라. 그녀는 하란의 딸이요, 하란은 밀가의 아버지며 또 이스가의 아버지더라. 0
Then Abram and Nahor took wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and the father of Iscah.
아브람과 나홀이 장가 들었으니 아브람의 아내 이름은 사래며 나홀의 아내 이름은 밀가니 하란의 딸이요 하란은 밀가의 아비며 또 이스가의 아비더라
30 그러나 사래는 수태하지 못하므로 아이가 없더라. 0
But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
사래는 잉태하지 못하므로 자식이 없었더라
31 데라가 자기 아들 아브람과 하란의 아들 곧 자기 손자 롯과 자기 며느리 즉 아브람의 아내 사래를 데려가니라. 그들이 그들과 함께 갈대아 사람들의 우르에서 떠나 가나안 땅으로 가려 하였으며 하란에 이르러 거기 거하니라. 0
And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there.
데라가 그 아들 아브람과 하란의 아들 그 손자 롯과 그 자부 아브람의 아내 사래를 데리고 갈대아 우르에서 떠나 가나안 땅으로 가고자 하더니 하란에 이르러 거기 거하였으며
32 데라의 생애는 이백오 년이었으며 데라가 하란에서 죽으니라. 0
So the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Haran.
데라는 이백오 세를 향수하고 하란에서 죽었더라
